With Brian and Melissa, we take a trip down podcast memory lane and tell some more recent tales as well.

SYNERGY… IT’S STILL A THING

It’s the triumphant return of one of our original co-hosts, “Big Show” Matt Schafer. Instantly, Big Show takes Brian and Melissa to task for our social media following before admitting to skipping out on the “Milk Challenge” owed to our listeners after accumulating 100 Twitter followers. We go down memory lane recalling some of our past mistakes and the high production values that are a hallmark of The Unadulterated BS Podcast.

MULTI-PLATFORM PODCAST PRODUCTION

“Big Show,” enjoying the trip down memory lane, brings up past sponsors. The list is short. Stories of Brian and Melissa’s wedding take over, including a promise to send out thank you cards. This starts “Big Show” on a rant against cards of all types. Hallmark, beware.

THIS WEEK IN BS

BIG SHOW vs. THE URBAN DICTIONARY

Big Show vs. Urban Dictionary

With The Big Show’s return, we bring back the original version of our Urban Dictionary game show, Big Show vs. The Urban Dictionary. In the original version of our game, we ask “Big Show” to provide his best guess at the definition based on the word or phrase provided. Here are the words for our game on this episode.

BATHING IN MILK

Melissa’s not going to do the milk challenge. It’s not happening. For “Big Show,” that’s all until 2022. That wraps up our trip down memory lane! With only seven episodes to go until our 150th episode, look for some more throwback co-hosts in the coming weeks as we run up to our milestone episode.

Recapping Greg’s Birthday Bus Trip Bash™

Brian and Melissa are joined by Craig, Greg, Beth and Simple Nate for our 2nd Annual recap of Greg’s Birthday Bus Trip Bash™. We’re aware that early on we say this is our 3rd Annual recap, but this is, in fact, only our 2nd Annual. We admit mistakes were made.

Raiders of the Lost Drunk

Our recap begins as we discuss who was all in attendance, including the oft-mentioned lesbians. We’re still sure Nate does not know their names despite sitting down to break bread with them as a peace offering later during the evening. Things get kicked off this year at Coliseum Bar in Madison, WI each and every year. Despite the trip occurring on St. Patrick’s Day this year, Madison bars seemed to be less crowded than expected. From Coliseum, we packed our school bus with 33-35 people and headed out on Greg’s Birthday Bus Trip Bash™.

What follows is covered in great detail within the podcast episode and I won’t attempt to type everything out in this recap. Carve out about 90 minutes, sit back, and enjoy.

Public Assistance

ON PUBLIC ASSISTANCE

Welcome to a very special edition of The Unadulterated BS Podcast. On this episode, we welcome in our friends and past podcast guests Beth, Greg, Craig and Simple Nate as we go bouncing between the Able-Bodied Welfare Recipient Promenade and the Working Person’s Rut in the game that asks “Why Bother Working for a Living?” On this episode, we sit down and play Public Assistance.

THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TAXPAYERS’ HARD-EARNED DOLLARS

Gameboard
The game board. My eyes hurt thinking about reading it.

This episode will be like none we have ever recorded. First of all, it’s a long podcast clocking in at over 90-minutes of gameplay. Second, we feature none of the normal segments that The Unadulterated BS Podcast is known for. Instead, this is a full 90-minute playing of Public Assistance.

Public Assistance is a board game created in 1980 by Hammerhead Enterprises, Inc. Needless to say, it’s politics are of a certain persuasion and you’ll hear that as we play. There are ideas and language in this game that are not the sort that’s heard often in 2018. So, be forewarned. We are playing the game precisely because it is offensive and to laugh at its expense.

For the gameplay, Brian will act as the custodian of the taxpayer’s hard-earned dollars while Melissa, Simple Nate, Craig and Greg will play this 2-4 player game. Beth steps in to help both the custodian and a few players throughout the 90-minutes.

There is an extensive rule reading in the early part of the recording. I know, despite reading them thoroughly, that we missed quite a few items. Feel free to send any glaring rules omissions to unadulteratedbs@gmail.com and we’ll discuss them in upcoming podcasts.

PAYING THE TAX MAN

Greg's Family Portrait
Greg shows off his illegitimate children while a proud Uncle Craig photobombs his family portrait.

At the end of the night, we do have a winner. We won’t spoil it here in the podcast notes, but it’s an entertaining ride. Players gained and lost Illegitimate children to the Working Person’s Rut. Government jobs were claimed and lost by live-ins and spouses. Crimes were committed. Players engaged in prostitution, gambling, playing the lottery and either took advantage of the system or were taken advantage of by those on the Able-Bodied Welfare Recipient Promenade. Our winner managed to stay on the Able-Bodied Welfare Recipient Promenade for the bulk of the game and was able to escape tax-free. Other players were not so lucky. All-in-all, Public Assistance is a politically incorrect, complicated game with words printed too small on the game board and lots of different actions to keep track of. We actually had a pretty great time playing it.

Being that the game is almost impossible to find or extremely expensive if you do, we hope our play-through was able to give you a good enough peek at Public Assistance.

A special thank you to Robert who works with me at our day job for providing a copy of the game through his cousin. Without you, this episode wouldn’t exist.

We’ll be back with a regular episode of The Unadulterated BS Podcast next week!

The Unadulterated BS podcast returns with Brian and Mel coming back from their extended hiatus. We check in this week with a shorter episode with the promise of more to come in the future.

Excuses, Excuses

Brian and Mel return to the podcast and running solo this week. Our primary hosts list of a myriad of reasons for our long delay since the New Year’s Eve episode including, but not limited to, their children, a Minnesota Vikings induced depression, other excuses.

#GetWellKev

One of the inspirations for doing this podcast, Kevin Smith, had a life-threatening heart attack this past weekend. Brian and Mel discuss their shared fandom of the man, his movies and his podcasts and how that played into the beginning of The Unadulterated BS Podcast.

With that, it’s time for…

THIS WEEK IN BS

The End Of The Beginning

That wraps up this week’s edition of the show. Stay tuned to the podcast feed, our website and all of our social media channels for a special podcast that will be posting soon wherein we get together with past guests to play Public Assistance. You can listen to our episode The Games People Play for a taste of what that will be like.

The Unadulterated BS Podcast is here to ring in the new year with a spoiler-filled discussion about Star Wars: The Last Jedi and a look back at the year in This Week in BS.

Happy New Year – Don’t be a dick!

Our show begins with Brian and Mel introducing our guest, Greg, back for a third straight week. Greg proceeds to be a dick. Brian thanks his Reddit Gift Exchange Secret Santa for his new, one-of-a-kind Unadulterated BS t-shirt. This leads to a conversation about boobs. Yep. It’s that kind of show this week.

Happy New Year – GOOP!

After discussing more items that can be shoved up your vagina, the gang goes down a Goop-hole. It sounds much worse then it is. Crap on Goop.com is expensive. Goop Glow. Pillows. Blue belts and more!

SPOILERS! PORGHUB!

Brian, Mel, and Greg discuss Star Wars: The Last Jedi. We start with some Change.org petitions that are completely ridiculous. We end up going into a very SPOILER-filled discussion of the film. Please be forewarned… there are SPOILERS for Star Wars: The Last Jedi in this section.

A Year of This Week in BS

We go through a year’s worth of stories on a special 2017 in Review edition of This Week in BS.

The End

Our 2017 for The Unadulterated BS Podcast ends with a farewell from the entire crew. Thanks for listening to The Unadulterated BS Podcast in 2017! We appreciate you. Have a great New Year’s Eve!

Brian, Mel and our guests Greg and Craig ring in the holidays as only we can… With Holiday Hijinks.

Happy Holidays

It’s our first ever holiday episode of The Unadulterated BS Podcast. Brian and Mel welcome our returning guests, Craig Wilkinson and Greg Dziadosz, to help us celebrate Christmas as only we can.

Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel

Brian apologizes for being unable to come up with another song in the vain of our 12 Days of Christmas remake from years past. The group puts their heads together to come up with some lyrics for a holiday song centered around our friend and past co-host, Simple Nate. It does not go well or as planned.

Thanks for nothing

We discuss the worst Christmas gifts that have been received courtesy of a list found at BoredPanda.com. We also pitch in with a few terrible gifts that we’ve received ourselves as well. Hijinks ensue.

An Urban Dictionary holiday

We dive into the Urban Dictionary to find their definitions for some common holiday words and phrases. Phrases such as Mistletoe, Candy Cane and more are discussed.

The End

We wrap up our holiday episode by discussing our favorite Christmas movies. Yes, Die Hard is a Christmas movie.

From everyone at The Unadulterated BS Podcast, we hope you had a happy holiday season!

Guests are plentiful

It’s raining guests as Brian and Mel welcome Greg Dziadosz, Nathan Johnson, and newcomer Craig Wilkinson. Things start off going off the rails almost immediately. There’s little that can be said to explain this introduction which bounces between North Korea, #NaPodPoMo, and former host Robert Poe. If you can figure out the thread that ties those things together, you’re a better man than I.

From bad to Public Assistance

Brian brings to the attention of the group the board game known as Public Assistance. This game was created in the 80’s and has offensive rules and manages to leave no group of people untouched by offensive statements and ideas. The group goes over and comments on the basic rules of the game and some of the available bonus/penalty cards. This is the point at which we are introduced to “boat people.”

The games gets worse

Thanks to an article from the Atlanta Black Star, we discuss even further offensive board games. The less said about this the better. As terrible as we have been/can be, these went too far even for Simple Nate and the rest of us.

This Week in BS – Epic Bro-Down

Only one story this week and it includes a couple of videos from a City Council meeting in Los Angeles.

The End

The gang wraps things up by discussing Jerry Lewis’ unreleased film, The Day the Clown Cried. And then things get even worse. We’re sorry. Everyone in attendance loves everyone unconditionally. We promise.

See you next week for our Christmas episode! Guests, songs, and lots of Christmas fun!

ThanXmas giveth and taketh away
It doesn’t take long for your hosts, Brian and Mel, to start discussing the booze portion of our episode. ThanXmas has come and gone and while we apologize for not recording a full-length episode with our friends in attendance, a festive holiday spirit infused the lot of us and fun was had by all. But, not everyone was able to make it out of ThanXmas unscathed as Brian suffered a speech-related injury causing the delay of this show when he lost a tooth long in need of repair. Due to this, Brian was on the DL for a few days and can’t quite speak at 100% for this episode. Please send sympathy cards via email.
Rent-a-kid
While discussing their evening with a Brady Bunch-sized blended family, Brian and Mel unveil their long-discussed plan to rent out that family to those seeking alternative forms of birth control. Obviously, everyone is loved and this segment is all a joke not to be taken too seriously. I mean you. Yes, you. You know who you are thinking this going to help you in some way. * Editors’ Note: Did it just get weird in here?
Not yet a woman
From talking about kids to talking politicians hitting on kids, our hosts sure know how to make a segway. Yes, we took a moment to talk the Alabama Senate race featuring accused sicko Roy Moore and our President Donald Trump. Get over it. We are prone to doing this every now and then, especially when we’ve covered all the topics in my notebook.
This Week in BS – Booze and Women Edition

* Jesus Statue’s Butt Was Hiding A 240-Year-Old Secret Message
* GOP Senator Implies Those Who Aren’t Millionaires Waste Money On ‘Booze, Women’
* Accidental tragedy, deliberately set fire
* “Alt-right” women are upset that “alt-right” men are treating them terribly

The End
Brian and Mel finish up their first, feature-length podcast in nearly six months with a large number of plugs. Thanks for listening and we’ll be back Tuesday, December 12th with another new episode due to the delay mentioned at the beginning of this episode.

In this episode, we discuss one of the many reasons for our recent absence, a prolonged stint of jury duty for your fearless host/producer, Brian Dunkel.

Brian introduces the show and introduces our guests for this week, a returning Greg, Simple Nate and the silent, but deadly, Beth. Brian tells us the nitty-gritty of his week-long stint of jury duty that created the bulk of the first part of our recent delay in posting. I’ll be the first to admit, as the teller of the story, the editor of this show, and the writer of these recaps that my story that fills up the first 38 minutes of this episode is not exactly our best work. But it is interesting nonetheless. Or, at least I thought it was…

With that, it’s time for This Week in BS!

Brian introduces the show being sure to thank those that have rated, reviewed and subscribed to The Unadulterated BS Podcast. He also harasses Melissa about her response to her introduction, but what else is new.
We dive right into the postmortem for Greg’s birthday bus trip bash, naming names and establishments throughout the early part of the show. Here’s a quick run down of the establishments we visited that evening.
Madison, WI Area Bars we visited during the bus trip

* The Coliseum Bar & Restaraunt
* 5100 Bar
* Outpost Bar & Grill
* 1855 Saloon & Grill
* Great Dane Pub
* Lazy Oaf Lounge
* Nitty Gritty
* Vintage Brewing Co.

During the reveal of these bars, we decide to poke fun at Nate for planning the bars we visited as some of them were completely unprepared for the type of crew we were bringing in with us.
We discuss how the four (five of us including the microphone-less Beth) were sitting near the front of the bus and acting like old cranky people while the younger, cooler bar crawlers were far more aggressive in their drinking right from the get go. This led to numerous members of the bar crawl, Greg included, not making it through the entire evening.
We start to dive into what Greg actually remembers from the evening which includes him being compared to John “Cougar” Mellencamp. Greg was also wearing this…

TL;DR: Greg was drunk. Brian and Nate were angry. Melissa and Beth were mostly amused by the entire ev...]]>

We're just a few days since WWE's WrestleMania 33 so it's time to talk professional wrestling! And,

Brian and Melissa introduce this week’s episode by thanking those who have rated, reviewed and subscribed to our show. In addition, Brian shares a review that we encourage you to post to either iTunes or Stitcher along with that much sought after five star rating.
What I listened to is the greatest thing ever created by the human race. It was brilliant. It was amazing. It was illuminating. I felt the warmth of a thousand suns wash over me. It was orgasmic.
Then, after that moment of euphoria, The Unadulterated BS Podcast began and it was all stripped away. I became cold and depressed. I yearned for the sweet embrace of death. Oh, and I chuckled once or twice.
Remember to tell us you reviewed the show on social media and include the hashtag #ubsfivestar.
We then turn to our main topic of the evening which is none other than WWE’s Wrestlemania 33. We’re aware that a lot of our listeners don’t watch professional wrestling but it’s something that we’ve done together for awhile now and seemed like a pertinent item to bring up on this episode of the podcast.
We start by discussing how professional wrestling has come a long way since even the WWE’s “Attitude Era.” Instead of having women competing in mud wrestling or lingerie matches, we now have bona fide athletic contests between the female professional wrestlers. This brings us to a conversation about the various current women’s performers including Melissa’s least favorite, Bailey. Melissa does give some credit to Bailey for her recent Snickers commercial that aired during Wrestlemania.

Melissa and Brian proceed to run down the Wrestlemania 33 card without going into great detail on each match. We cover AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon, Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens and the bulk of the rest of the card. Highlights include discussing Roman Reigns and why people don’t like him and Undertaker’s apparent retirement.
After some more wrestling based discussion, it becomes time for THIS WEEK IN BS…

This Week in BS

Armed robbers lured victim in with sex then use his credit card to buy tacos police say
A Canadian mans personalized license plate was pulled from the road after his last name was deemed misogynistic
Florida mom too drunk to remember daughter’s location, lies to cops that 6-year-old is kidnapped
Woman arrested for training squirrels to attack her ex-boyfriend

Brian becomes incensed that our last story of the evening appears to be fake news or an April Fool’s Day joke that we hadn’t noticed prior to recording. After laughing about our final story for roughly ten minutes, Brian notices that there is no date on the story and that other articles linked from this story seem equally suspicious.

As a token of our appreciation for our listeners, we discuss more topics than can be listed as a blurb for a podcast.

Brian and Melissa introduce this week’s episode with a semi-sincere apology in regards to the missed episodes from the past few weeks. In addition, Brian has audio clips, some of his favorites from past shows, hosts and guests.
Brian gets into the reason for the delay between recent podcasts, including a dental emergency that would have had him speaking like Donald Duck. The apologies continue as we promised to deliver an episode of LiquorFlix, but the audio file has gone missing. We’ll keep looking, but this could be yet another lost episode of LiquorFlix.
A rundown of the day occurs, including discussing our recent couples foray into video games. Brian & Mel discuss their playing of Diablo III. Yep, we’re way behind on games and playing on a system from two gaming cycles ago.
“What is the age at which things just start to fall off?”
Through all the described injuries and maladies, Brian wonders aloud at what age his body parts will just start falling off.
Brian and Melissa discuss their recent yearly tradition of watching the University of Wisconsin Men’s basketball team in the NCAA tournament. Prior to this recording, the Badgers had been eliminated in their Sweet 16 contest with the Florida Gators. As with any basketball conversation between the two of us, we discuss Melissa’s hatred of the “squeaky shoes” that can be heard during most any televised basketball game.

After This Week in BS, talk turns to facial hair, particularly that of reality television stars and professional wrestlers. We’d try to break down what happens next, but I’s hard to explain. It includes Brian acting like a kitten, arm bruises, and drunken injuries.
Brian makes mention very late in the show of his love for pro wrestling and the upcoming WrestleMania event. He mentions that most people tune out when talks about professional wrestling so sticking it at the end of the show seemed prudent.
Finally, as we wrapped up the show, lines were crossed and Transylvanians possibly offended.

There really isn't anything more to say for this episode except that you should listen right away before it disappears in a flurry of lawsuits.

Brian introduces the show and brings Melissa and our guests Nathan Johnson and Greg Dziadosz (spelling corrected this week at the behest of our podcast guest). When Melissa doesn’t have a suggestion for a possible review for our listeners to leave for us, Nate and Greg make their presence known by immediately not understanding how podcasting works and dropping a reference from WKRP in Cincinnati, respectively.
The group almost immediately goes back to what worked so well during Nate and Greg’s last visit, making fun of Nate and his Merchant of Middleton story. We discuss a few t-shirt ideas sure to be arriving on our website as soon as we are able. Greg discusses the protestors that may arrive during his annual birthday/St. Patrick’s Day pub crawl bus trip. A good deal of this will require listening to Nate and Greg’s previous visit during
Vol. IV, Episode 03. Names are dropped and laughs are had, mostly at Nate’s expense.
Brian directs you, our humble listeners, to view our Behind the BS blog at unadulteratedbs.tumblr.com where we’ll post behind the scenes photos and more regarding the making of The Unadulterated BS Podcast.
Giving you a taste of those behind the scenes antics, talk turns to the Chromecast display in the studio, where we will share photos, videos and new stories during This Week in BS with our guests and co-hosts. A picture shown in the screen saver mode depicted a grandmotherly woman and a young boy putting something into the oven. Brian describes this picture which leads to perhaps the most unbelievable guest statement ever uttered on the podcast. You’ll have to hear it to believe it. Yes, he went there.
The aforementioned statement brings us to a conversation about our producers fining us for having a late episode (the same reason this episode is posting at a non-standard time as well).
Brian makes mention of Nate being the unofficial mascot of The Unadulterated BS Podcast. This includes Greg making fun of the website slide photo that accompanied Nate and Greg’s last episode. This brings about the nickname of Simple Nate. This holds our attention for a moment as we discuss a clothing line for just Nate featuring multiple different shirt styles and designs.
Greg tells us a story told to him by a mutual friend of our guests, Cooter. The story involves Nate being mistaken for a woman being abducted and being pulled over by the police as a result. Nate goes really deep with names almost none of our listeners will know. Nate defends his actions as simply telling the truth.
Talk returns to last years St. Patrick’s Day pub crawl. We discussed the lesbian couple that Nate offended and almost fought, Brian’s attempts to pole dance that caused him a great deal of groin pain, and discussed someone’s attire that may end up in Nate and/or Greg getting in a great deal of trouble.

After introducing the show, Brian discusses meeting the producer for our show, foisted on us by The Dark Ravine Productions, Garrett Donahue. The producers were upset with the issues that lead to our late show posting. Melissa gets upset with little people… again. Brian describes the new producer all while making himself out to be a complete imbecile.
Brian and Melissa explain the reasoning for the late podcast posting including our attempt to have a past guest, Heidi Marks, on the show. In addition, we also attempted to interview Heidi’s four-legged son, Eben. Yep, a dog. A new high-mark has been hit on The Unadulterated BS Podcast.
Recently, The Unadulterated BS Podcast moved homes and we’re now available at
unadulteratedbs.net. During this switchover, Brian suggests that he may have ruined the internet for most of the United States for a period of time. In addition, Brian is unable to speak during this episode.
Brian points out another outlet to find out more about The Unadulterated BS Podcast. We’ve revived our Tumblr blog at unadulteratedbs.tumblr.com. We’ll be posting behind the scenes photos and our guest book with each and every episode.
With that, it’s time for This Week… in BS!

We finish the evening with a story of a recent interview Brian had at his day job wherein he bombed magnificently.

This will be the first of two The Unadulterated BS Podcast episodes posted this week. Unfortunately, due to a few complications outside of our control (and the aforementioned bombing of our first recording attempt), we were unable to get a podcast up last week. We discuss how our show is responsible for their relationship, Pearl Jam, politics and play a very saucy edition of Vs. The Urban Dictionary.

Brian introduces the show, being sure to comment on the intro of the lovely Melissa. James (
@redmosquito) and Lisa (@Sunnygirl535) can’t help themselves but to speak up during our normal intro, their excitement to be guests on the show being so great. We introduce this week’s show and get into how The Unadulterated BS Podcast brought this happy couple together. This brings us to mentioning (name dropping, really) some old fans and friends of the podcast. A nice trip down “friends of podcast lane” wherein we remember the meet-up at Eddie’s Alehouse in Sun Prairie and how we all met. While Brian is thrilled to proclaim that The Unadulterated BS Podcast helped to create a couple, it seems that James and Lisa, while initially agreeing, are being difficult.
James and Lisa, being huge Pearl Jam fans, tell us about their experiences seeing the band live and their interactions with other Pearl Jam fans. James can admits to seeing Pearl Jam live 19 times including recently at Wrigley Field in Chicago. This brings us to a story about their AirBnB stay for the Wrigley Field concert and their near brush with fame. That is, if you consider NHL players famous. Lisa, regardless of the story, believes that Patrick Sharp is super hot. For some reason, Brian is able to nerd out on professional wrestling. The judging commences quickly from the other podcast participants.
After a short digression into Mr. T territory, Brian finds a way to pitch his terrible versions of popular 80’s television shows. This includes The A-Team and MacGyver. Our talk turns to other old memories of The Unadulterated BS Podcast, including old sponsors and guests hosts.
James and Lisa, through discussion of a former sponsor, walk us through their favorite beers. As with many guests, James and Lisa brought us some adult beverage options suiting their tastes. All of it was delicious, and as always, we always appreciate these types of gestures from our guests.
Things take a turn for the political as we discuss James and Lisa attending the recent Women’s March in Madison, WI. Lisa shares her thoughts on that march/protest and what it meant to her and others. James shows his political leanings with his comments. We end the segment with Lisa giving an impassioned plea for people to get involved, even with the small things, to help make changes in government.

This is Codar’s first episode back on the show in at least three years and he’s here […]

Brian and Melissa give everyone a brief re-introduction to Codar through a short interview. Codar tell us about his new product,
The Morning Deuce Podcast. Our guest warns us that the The Morning Deuce Podcast does not record often, but when it does, it’s funny, enjoyable nonsense. He also let’s us know that his show is available currently on SoundCloud, but will eventually be moving to YouTube.
Brian takes a moment to re-set the situation with the New Management at The Dark Ravine Productions. Melissa reacts, per usual, with disdain over the paltry amount that we signed away our rights to our show and website.
We discuss Codar’s music that’s available on YouTube. Codar is a self-professed “synth-geek” and uploads jam videos to the channel titled, “Sprunging for Voltage.” As a result, Brian offers to create a new awards show, The Notagrammy’s, to allow for him to nominate Codar for a fabulous award.
Despite being a few months late to the party, we discuss Codar’s reaction to Rogue One : A Star Wars Story. This brings Brian and Melissa to memories of watching Spider-Man 3 from the front row and drunk. This carries over into a story about Brian’s frustration about the recent box office flop, Jupiter Ascending. Codar is a diehard Star Wars fan, so we also discuss his memories of Star Wars : The Force Awakens, the prequels that preceded it and Star Wars Celebration.

Brian and Melissa introduce our guests, Nathan Johnson and Greg Dzidosz. Talk quickly turns to an event last year where Nathan decided to pick a fight with a couple of lesbians, which occurred during a birthday pub crawl for Greg’s birthday. Many local drinking establishments are name-dropped. While Brian tries to proclaim his innocence during this evening, Melissa is sure to point out that he strained his groin while attempting to dance on a stripper pole. Yes, this all really happened.
After a few additional details from last years Greg Dzidosz Birthday Pub Crawl, Greg advises of the date for this years event. We discuss podcasting from the bus; a can’t miss future episode to be sure.
Brian brings the topic back to the origin of Nathan’s nickname, “The Merchant of Middleton.” We find out that this became Nathan’s nickname after selling pornography (tapes and magazines) to his classmates in middle school. Hilarity ensues as we discuss the ridiculousness of this origin story. It’s at this point that we introduce Nathan’s girlfriend Beth, who may be considered our greatest guest ever thanks to a pile of cupcakes she brought to our recording. Melissa points out that Beth has been laughing at the roasting of Nathan the entire show to this point.
Greg tells us some stories of drunken shenanigans that include both himself and Nathan. This includes stories of friends passed out standing at a Denny’s urinal. We also discuss a paranoid, drunken meal featuring Brian and Melissa.

It’s Inauguration week but our episode begins on another note. No news, perhaps, is good news as there […]

Brian and Melissa turn to even more politics while attempting to assure our listeners that this is not the bulk of what The Unadulterated BS Podcast is. Trust us. With the recent inauguration of Donald J. Trump and other political and social headlines, these topics have just been dominating our thoughts. This causes Brian to announce another new segment for our podcast, The Trump Dump, a repository for all of the news stories regarding our new president and politics in general. All of this discussion regarding our dislike for our new Cheeto-colored Commander and Chief cause Brian and Melissa to become concerned that their lives will be overrun by government agents.
Talk turns to the recent inauguration of Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States. Being too lazy or preoccupied to actually watch the festivities, our hosts followed the liberal media on @Twitter. Melissa brings up Mesopotamia Trump (we know, that’s not her real first name) giving a gift to our outgoing First Lady, Michelle Obama. This is followed with a discussion of the attendance at the Inauguration and Donald Trump’s claims that it was the most attended Inauguration ever. Brian clearly does NOT make a comparison between a certain sports teams fans and Donald Trump supporters.
This just in – We’re watching @CNN while recording this episode.
History was made during the inaugural speech and we discuss the
words that were used for the first time ever by Donald Trump. Brian just won’t give up on this Mesopotamia thing. This changes to discussion of the inauguration as a whole and how our new president acted (and possibly cribbed Bane) during the event.
After realizing that our first segment is running incredibly long, we cover a quick couple of political topics and finish by discussing the historic Women’s Marches that took place on January 21st, 2017. In truth, that’s not the very last thing as Melissa makes it very clear that she needs to pee. That’s the very last thing before…

Our show starts with the explanation of the letter that was received that kickstarted the return of podcast. Needless to say, Melissa is not pleased. Brian attempts to distract from the letter by going on an Urban Dictionary diatribe.
Brian and Melissa discuss what has happened since our last recording/episode. The discussion quickly turns to the recent presidential election and our new president-elect, Donald Trump.
We then turn to This Week in BS (see below for links to all of the stories that we discuss during this episode).

It’s summer in Wisconsin. What better way for Brian & Mel to celebrate then to record a podcast out by the fire. That’s right, thanks to all of our wiz-bang technological know-how, we started a roaring fire and recorded another episode of The Unadulterated BS Podcast.

Brian & Mel open the show discussing being outside by the fire and being wowed/buzzed by lightning bugs. They then discuss a recent incident where their son whizzed all over his own bedroom floor purposefully. Bug murder becomes a topic with all of the lightning bugs and growing amount of mosquitos. During THIS WEEK IN BS, our dynamic duo discuss punishment by camping, how to properly introduce a segment and a marriage between a woman and her ex-husband’s best friend. With the news out of the way, Mel flies off the handle about people she dislikes. Brian, meanwhile, is obsessed with the mobile game, Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. Once again, mosquitos come up because they are becoming a nuisance.
Brian briefly explains #SHREDDERING to hopefully get our listeners onboard with harassing Mel via Twitter. Brian brings up a story that should have been in THIS WEEK IN BS involving the singer Meat Loaf passing out while performing on stage. Brian & Mel discuss Brian’s past life as a merit badge earning Boyscout which turns into a conversation, wherein, Brian ends up with a jet ski. Though, said jet ski probably costs Mel her life. The show wraps up as Brian & Mel are carried away by a swarm of blood-sucking, Zika carriers.

Ok, I think you get the picture. The Institution of comedy/pop culture podcasts (given that you only look at a certain geographical area of less than 25-50 square miles) is back. Are you ready for some more BS?

Brian and Melissa start the show explaining the return of The Unadulterated BS Podcasts and our new home at thedarkravine.com. Talk quickly turns to a beer discussion which sheds light on the recent gluten allergy diagnosis for Melissa. With the talk of bowel-churning grains out of the way, Brian describes the horror and atrocity that is his 11-year old daughter’s dance recital.
We turn to This Week in BS and discuss everything from child support to breastfeeding, after which, it’s time to play the hottest game show to hit podcasting… Vs. Urban Dictionary. After Mel is quizzed on gross terms from urbandictionary.com, we wrap up the show and do all the social media pimping you have come to know and love.
